![]() BUT, there are hundreds and thousands of us all wanting and asking for different things, and they can only read so much in one day! That is why it's so important on here to ask yourself "Has someone already posted this? And if so, have the developers said anything about it?". But I'm afraid that if they were to ever upgrade the engine, then just about every mod will break, so they are holding off on that.Ĭlick to expand.I will start off by saying Colossal Order DOES hear us. I heard that Unity does possess such technology to greatly increase said thresholds. Those two limiters are the main reasons why we can only play in 9 tiles. And you figure this out when you play other Unity games such as Subnautica, which runs beautifully smooth while also looking beautiful.Ħ: you now start to wonder if they're (the devs) are going to keep releasing DLC's or start working on a better, more powerful version of the game that can handle the loads.īTW, those were the steps I went through and thought I'd share with you all!īut on a serious note, we could use a serious upgrade to a more powerful Unity engine, or go with an engine that can handle more nodes (road connections) and agents (vehicles, cims). Instead, you fail to realize that it's NOT your PC, it's the game's engine. I can tell you that these mods greatly improve the dynamic of the game and is honestly the reason why a lot of people still play this game.ġ: playing in 9 tiles may be a lot for a newcomer, but after you start expanding your horizons, you want more space! So you get a mod that unlocks more city tiles.Ģ: now you have more space to play in, but now my city looks the same all over, I have all these DLC's, but even those get repetitive, so you start downloading custom assets and some visual enhancing modsģ: by now, you may have noticed your game is starting to drag, and your framerates have plummeted from the vanilla 45-60fps to less than 30fps in the busy city areasĤ: but alas, you tell yourself "it's still playable!" so you keep downloading awesome mods like TM: PE and other heavy load mods, and more assetsĥ: now your game is struggling to even stay at 30fps once your city gets going, and you tell yourself that your PC can't handle it, even though you have top-notch hardware that you bought a few months ago so you can play the game with all these mods and assets. And yet, here I am with 225 downloaded assets, and 34 mods. I've told myself a couple years ago that I would only use one or two mods with some custom assets I modified from the base game. no mods or custom assets, then I can agree that adding more will enhance the gameplay and a sequel isn't really needed.īut on the flip side, although the vanilla game offers a lot to players (especially newcomers), most people start using mods after a little while to really get a nice custom play style. ![]() Click to expand.I partially disagree with your statement. ![]()
